Biodiversita': e' tempo di agire per salvare il pianeta (Omni News Italian)

La biodiversita', appunto: discorso iniziato con il servizio precedente e al quale non c'e' al momento conclusione da proporre. Non siamo in grado in effetti di sapere davvero cosa succedera' al clima, e soprattutto come ci adatteremo ai cambiamenti che stanno in effetti avvenendo. Certamente dobbiamo smettere di inquinare: il ragionamento terra terra dovrebbe essere che e' molto meglio tenere pulita casa nostra, che ridurla a una pattumiera - e' quello che facciamo nel nostro piccolo quotidiano, vediamo di capire come farlo anche nel grande quotidiano.

Adattiamoci pero' anche all'idea che il nostro stesso numero ci costringe a trasformare continuamente il pianeta. E' la necessita' di mettere la natura al nostro servizio, trasformandola in una generatrice 'coatta' di cibo (costretta farlo come decidiamo noi, per le specie che decidiamo noi, spesso anche con i ritmi che decidiamo noi) e per quel che ne resta in una sorta di grande parco lasciato selvaggio per scelta. Questa e' la parte che spesso sfugge al ragionamento: paradossalmente, anche se potessimo farlo senza avvelenarlo, il nostro numero ci costringe a continuare a trasformare il pianeta.

It is the need to put nature at our service, transforming it into a 'forced' generator of food (forced to do it as we decide, for the species that we decide, often even with the rhythms that we decide) and for whatever it remains in a sort of large park left wild by choice. This is the part that often eludes reasoning: paradoxically, even if we could do it without poisoning it, our number forces us to continue transforming the planet.
