Andrea Ramolo's Homage to Leonard Cohen (Omni News Italian)

I love music, even as I am completely off-key and pitchy myself. When I listened to Andrea Ramolo's work for the first time, I was fascinated by her music. Ramolo isn't just a singer and musician, though. Following her Italian roots she has been developing her own videos about Italian food and lifestyle.

Music is here main interest, though, and this story begins from her recent Homage to one of the greatest Canadian songwriter and poet, Leonard Cohen. Finding there another connection with Italy, through music: Suzanne by Cohen was translated into Italian and performed by Fabrizio De Andre', one of Italy's greatest songwriters ever.

Adoro la musica, anche se sono una delle persone piu' stonate che vi possa capitare di incontrare. Quando ho ascoltato per la prima volta Anrea Ramolo, sono rimasto affascinato dalla sua musica. L'artista italocanadese non e' pero' soltanto una cantautrice, ma seguendo le sue radici italiane ha deciso di produrre video dedicati alla, vita, ed al cibo italiani.

La musica rimane il suo principale interesse, e da li' siamo partiti: il suo recente omaggio, Homage, a uno dei piu' grandi 'songwriters' e poeti canadesi, Leonard Cohen. Trovando un altro legame musicale tra Andrea e l'Italia: Suzanne, una delle cover di Cohen scelte da lei, fu scelta da Fabrizio De Andre', che la tradusse in italiano.
